Social Advertising Specialist

Job description

What others think you do

You spend your days writing funny Facebook posts about cats

What you actually do & how you get it done

  • As a social advertising specialist you attract new customers and generate revenue by leveraging social advertising. That means:
  • You’re responsible for advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • You develop, set up and analyse campaigns for efficiency and response
  • You underline your choices with clear reasoning and unquestionable data
  • You build, measure and learn: experimenting is the key to great results
  • You share your insights, learnings and results
  • Social media parties know who you are. So you’ll always be aware of new developments

What your LinkedIn profile would read

Constructive Social Advertising Rebel

What other people notice about you

You:

  • Move fast - be bold and open
  • Work together - it's better :-)
  • Show your style, lots of energy and a positive mindset
  • Own your projects and get (sh)it done
  • Value quality over quantity,
  • Invest in people and 'pay it forward'

Your average working day might look like this

You head to our HQ's early. Being in your best mood, zipping a double espresso, you dive straight into yesterday’s campaign results:

How many people did we reach yesterday? Did we boost sales?  How many people signed up to receive updates? Are we behind or ahead of schedule?

Since you're happy with the results, you instantly decide to inform some stakeholders! Having optimised a few campaigns in the morning, you decide to do some in-depth research of Facebook's new gimmicks. Facebook did produce a decent explainer video on the features that were released, but you have your own list of questions and ideas. And you're looking for answers.

Later that afternoon you share the results of your first few tests on Facebook's new tooling with the rest of Direct Impact's bright minds. This way, you can be sure everyone is updated on the newest developments in the social advertising business. Feeling satisfied with today's work, you check in with some of your team mates who weren't in the office today. And to round it all up, you take a look at your top priorities for tomorrow.

The dream team

At Direct Impact, we all love working on projects together with the very best in online marketing, display, social, visual media, retargeting and lean startup methodology.

You will be part of multiple client facing teams consisting of expert growth hackers, digital designers, online marketers and copywriters.

Just a few reasons you want this job…. BAD!

  • Cash!
  • Direct Impact offers you a great place to experiment and learn
  • You will work closely together with ex-Coolblue guru's and a silicon valley founder
  • A super passionate team
  • A minimum of 25 vacation days. And we're happy to discuss more if needed
  • The possibility to work from home or one of our clients' offices
  • Room for new initiatives and ideas
  • A job that will never feel like a job

Requirements

We ask

  • You to develop your talent by continuously learning and experimenting

  • That you have excellent language skills in both Dutch and English
  • That you love data and have a talent for great analysis
  • That you can stay firm on content without jeopardizing professional relations

  • Proficient in both Dutch and English
